What’s going on

We’re all busy, and it’s easy for good ideas to stay ideas. This is a reason to make time, put a date on what we want to do, and help each other follow through. Along the way, we’ll share what we know, work on ideas together, and get together with friends for track days, sports, activities and trips.

Our first project

A friendly, optional side-business competition. Each person builds their own side business, with the group there to share knowledge and help along the way.

You’re welcome at the meetups whether you compete or not. Read the rules below, then add your name if you’re in.

No excuses. Start small, build, test, fix and ship. Cut the scope, keep the deadline.

Start fresh
Build your own new side business, starting on or after September 18, 2026. Existing projects don’t qualify. Bring your own idea and work.
Present your project or business idea at the October 4 kickoff
Share what you plan to build and where the group can help. Ideas and work in progress are welcome.
Launch before October 31, 2026
Have something real that customers can buy or use, and a way to deliver it. A teaser or waitlist isn’t a launch. You don’t need a first sale yet.
Build your way
Advice, collaboration, tools and AI are welcome. It’s your business.

The competition closes at our January 10 final, 10 a.m. Pacific, considering revenue and impact.

We’ll decide the January winner’s prize together at the October 4 meetup.

    Meetups

    Video meetings
    October’s video meeting: Wednesday, October 28, 2026 at 7 p.m. Pacific time. In October we’ll meet online only on the last Wednesday. From November onward, video meetings are on the first and last Wednesdays of every month at 7 p.m. Pacific time.
    In-person gatherings
    First Sunday every other month at 10 a.m. Pacific time.

    Video meetings are online. In-person venues depend on the gathering or activity; joining links and exact locations will follow privately.

    The kickoff

    Location TBD, most likely at a go-kart track.

    Bring your project or business idea to present. Share what you’re working on and where the group can help. Ideas and work in progress are welcome. You don’t need a finished business for the kickoff. Competition entries must launch before October 31, 2026.
